Australia’s Wish You Were Here, has been officially selected for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
The film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Price, Teresa Palmer and Anthony Starr. The film centres around the four characters and their Cambodian holiday, where only three return, and delves further into what happened on that fateful night.
Producer Angie Fielder recently said “It’s exciting the film is in the festival’s World Cinema Dramatic Competition category.”Kieran and I are immensely proud and honoured that Wish You Were Here has been selected to have its world premiere at Sundance. It’s exciting to see our film open the prestigious World Cinema Dramatic Competition at a festival which celebrates independent filmmaking”. Sundance’s international competition program is one of the most sought-after premiere slots in the world. Thousands of films are submitted to which only 16 are chosen.
Wish You Were Here will be released nationally in cinemas next April.
