I unashamedly adore Anna Faris. I think she’s beautiful. Not only is she a cutey, she is so willing to poke fun at herself, and sometimes also ends up in seriously cool indie flicks; Loz turned me on to the quirky 2002’s May – seriously, go see. Guesting on TV’s Entourage no less as well, I was never really a fan of Friends, but her recurring role for a few eps was a highlight.
So it’s great to see in 2012 we will see her a bit more. First up is Movie 43, released on April 12 in Oz. The flick is a feature comprising of short comedy segments with a wealth of talent. So ensemble cast to the extreme people! With eleven Directors including the under-rated actress Elizabeth Banks, the cast list rivals anything you have EVER seen! Ms Faris of course, Chloe Grace Moretz, Emma Stone, Elizabeth Banks, Gerald Butler (fresh from rehab), Hugh Jackman, Kristen Bell, Kate Winslet, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts and hubby Liev Schreiber, Justin Long, Josh Duhamel, Kate Bosworth… and (because I’m getting bored with listing) Johnny Knoxville. The list is a lot longer! Go see!
Next of course is the latest, dubious but how-could-you-not-go-see Sacha Baron Cohen spectacle, The Dictator. Released in early June, the trailer is pretty funny. Co-starring Megan Fox, Ben Kingsley and John C. Reilly, Faris will no doubt be riotous and as stomach churning as needed. Love it.
I don’t care; I loved her in 2008’s The House Bunny. Despite brick-with-face Rumer Willis’ involvement.
